“Matt Frondorf drove from the Statue of Liberty to the Golden Gate Bridge. Mounted on his passenger side window was a Canon T-90, hooked up to his odometer and clicking off a frame for each mile of the 3304 mile journey. He didn’t drive at night. The result is American Mile Markers, a timeline of photos and composite videos that spans the country. Frondorf calls the process “statistical photography” that presents “what is really there -every picture from beginning to end.”

Alex AinslieHi, I'm currently studying at Cornell University in the College of Arts and Sciences, finishing an independent BA in Computing, Cognition, and Aesthetics and an MEng in Computer Science. I have spent the past three summers at Google working on mobile maps and gmail, suggest, query refinements, social search, and most recently goggles and mobile local search. This site was born as a personal photo journal during a semester spent abroad in Paris and has evolved into a curated collection of links, code, videos, music, text, and images.
